This video presents a monotonous reel of footage, repetitively rolling through the five elements of life as a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Tibetan prayer flags. Using footage taken in Nepal, the work directly reflects the experience of being in a place rich in spirituality and serenity, whilst simultaneously battling the distractions of modern life. The intrusive presence of song lyrics (from “Cold Heart,” by Dua Lipa and Elton John) simulate the pull of popular culture away from a pure state of mindfulness and yet the

coexistence of both.
